Google Workspace for Education for LIGO.ORG¶
Access for LIGO and Virgo members¶
LIGO.ORG identities (available to all LIGO and Virgo members) come with access to Google Workspace for Education services, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Access for KAGRA members¶
KAGRA members have access, but there are a few steps that are required. They are documented here.

Common issue: wrong account¶
Remember to use your LIGO.ORG google identity
It is common for people to experience authentication or authorisation failures when accessing google documents because they are using their personal google account instead of their LIGO.ORG-connected one.
To switch, just click the profile icon in the top right-hand corner and select your @ligo.org account.
Not for official documents¶
Do not use Google docs for official documents
Under our current license, there is no guarantee that the Google Workspace service will not be withdrawn at any time in the future, and hosted documents will be lost.
For that reason, all official documents should be hosted in the relevant Document Control System.
